POUYA GHORBANI

I was a soccer player at Malavan FC academy. When I was playing at U21 team I got a foot injury and had a surgery. I took part in a media free course during my recovery time, that was when I become interested in sport photography. By the time I just graduated from school and I had no job and no money to buy any photography equipments, so I borrowed cameras from some friends. However I started photography at Malavan FC academy teams and stayed there for two seasons, then the club managers let me enter the club’s media officially by signing a contract. I worked two seasons at Malavan FC at Azadegan League and Iran Pro League (Persian Gulf League) and then I joined Shams Azar FC. During this three seasons I took photos in some International matches too such as AFC champions league and Iran national team matches. I also cooperate with Photo Aman agency and some newspapers and magazins such as Hamshahri Online, Khabar Varzeshi and etc. I also cooperate with Iran football federation and Iran Pro league organization. At 2023 one of my dreams came true and I took photos at AFC Asian Cup in Qatar. It was not my last destination in this journey. When I started to take my first photos as a kid I’ve dreamed so big and now I’m here to meet them one by one.
